Where have you been my lovely..?

It's been just over a year since I wrote my last blog entry. So much has happened both personally and professionally in the 12 months and I am excited to be back and share with you what I've learnt over the last year. Early in 2022 my beloved Dad was diagnosed with Lung cancer. My Daddy fought bravely and I was blessed to be with him until the end. Looking after my parents has been something I have been fortunate enough to be able to do and I do thank God for the fact that I have a career in Tech that has made it possible to provide for the ones I love. My Dad played a major role in my life, he still does and he always will. He was an incredibly dynamic and intelligent human being and he made me feel that I was capable of ANYTHING. He was also an incredibly giving person and was always looking out to help someone in need. I hope that I can continue his legacy. I will never get over not having him close by, but I have been so inspired by him to pick up the pieces and to carry on with life and building my career. I am sharing this with you all to show you that life has ups and downs, highs and lows and we need to be resilient in the face of the storms that life brings our way. There may be a time in your life that you need to devote to your family and not to work and that's ok. There is a time for everything under the sun. In the last year, my career has not stood still at all. In fact I have grown and still keep on developing my skillsets. I've had the privilege of getting better at public speaking, semi improve my python skills ( still got a loooong way to go :) ) and I've also had the privilege of having my first official mentor. I've still been working on some bits on the Network, but I have really been learning a lot about Chaos Engineering. I hope that has sparked some questions for you all, because I will be going deeper into those topics and more very soon! Before I lose you, I'll sign off for today.
